Coast to Coast Canadian Tour

Earlier today, unveiled the video for “Galaxies,” the first single from Jenn Grant‘s upcoming album Paradise, out March 3rd on Outside Music. Shot in Toronto at Earl Bales Park by Jenn’s brother, award-winning cinematographer, Daniel Grant and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Adam Goldhammer, the video is about a shared, otherworldly experience that moves those involved from isolation to community. The specifics are best left up to the viewers’ interpretation, with visuals inspired by Jenn’s brilliantly crafted lyrics, especially the chorus: “I’m here, my love. Even when I’m standing out alone. And there’s a galaxy of us that shines and I hear ya calling me home.”

Jenn Grant shares:
“This is the first time my brother and I have joined forces on a project, and from the lights reflecting off the trees in the first shot, the images in the video echo the ones in my head.” Jenn continues, “When I sing ‘Galaxies,’ I see the story that unfolds from here. This video has become a true expression for this story of mystical transformation.”

About Paradise:
Paradise feels personal and emotive, but it was born from a vantage point of watching as the world flexes amidst great joy and sorrow. Through her lyrics, Grant tells us of the world she watches from a distance, touching on global themes like love, growth, faith, longing, sex, death and reinvention.
Recorded in Lake Echo, Nova Scotia, Paradise is an album that sees a new dimension in Grant’s songwriting with new depths of sonic beauty and melodic landscapes, touching upon balladry, R&B and electronic music along the way.
